We have just provisioned a 5 circuit four location connectivity solution for one of our customers. The four locations include HKIX, two of the most populous data centers on HK Island, and one at Kwai Chung.
With a 5-circuit fabric, the customer have fulfilled these connectivity needs among the four locations.
- Connect HKIX to their main facilities at Mega-I and to their backup facilities at Hkcolo for backup.
- Create a high speed virtual circuit between Mega-I and Hkcolo for data backup and service redundancy
- Connect two customers to their two POPs, Mega-I and Hkcolo, to provide redundant service to these customers
- Create multiple private VLANs between the 5 circuits for traffic segregation and management
- Transparently and with minimal impact, migrating some of their customers facilities to their main POPs, through VLAN segregations.
The 5-circuit fabric provided flexibility and future expandability to meet the customer’s business needs. Customer is now deploying their own SDN capabilities within their fabric layer for further manageability.
